COMMITMENT & REQUIREMENTS

On behalf of the parents, kids and staff at Good News Church, thank you so much for your interest and willingness to serve God as a Kids Ministry Mentor!

We wholeheartedly believe that a ministry of strong mentors, who have the character, passion and consistency to serve and love God's people, has maximum impact.

Our vision is to see every family, healthy and equipped, and every kid, a lifelong disciple of Christ. We want to empower you to join us in this calling because we believe that you could be a valuable member in serving the Kingdom, the church, and kids.

Commitment *

We are asking all Mentor Leaders who seek to be a leader of this team to commit to these principles:

1. I will be careful of what I post on my social media, when I am outside of the church, at home, in public, and in private. 1 Thessalonians 5:22

2. I commit to being under the leadership of Good News Church and the teachings from leadership. I will refrain from participating in gossiping or complaining. I will take questions or concerns immediately to leadership. 1 Corinthians 1:10

3. If I cannot resolve a disagreement with leadership, I will resign from serving on a Ministry Team. 1 Thessalonians 5:12

4. I commit to being on time and communicating with my leaders about any scheduling conflicts. I will be diligent and prepared for each serving opportunity including reading lessons, and emails, and responding when requested. Colossians 3:23

5. I desire to grow in my own spiritual journey and commit to being in 1 weekly adult or teen service. Hebrew 10:25

6. I commit to knowing all emergency procedures and responsibilities in Kids Ministry to create a safe environment for a parent’s greatest treasure. Psalm 127:3

A background check is required for anyone 18 and older serving with kids. Checkr is the organization that handles our background checks, and this background check will remain on file on your Planning Center profile. Once this application is complete, an email will be sent to you with a link to fill out your background check, please complete this step within 5 days of receiving it. If you are younger than 18 years old, please disregard the email.
